Diogo Madureira

Diogo is an NMC-registered nurse practitioner with extensive experience across acute medicine, intensive care, and community care within both the NHS and private sectors. He completed his nursing degree at the highly regarded University of Porto in Portugal, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing from Bournemouth University. More recently, Diogo qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber through the University of Portsmouth, enabling him to deliver nurse prescribing consultations for supportive care medicines, including mistletoe therapy and integrative oncology support.

As part of his professional development, Diogo has deepened his knowledge of integrative medicine and integrative oncology under the mentorship of Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel and through his ongoing work within the Synthesis Clinic’s multidisciplinary team. His prescribing consultations take a comprehensive approach, assessing each patient’s unique needs for supportive care medicines and collaborating with the wider clinical team to ensure a personalised, evidence-based plan of care.

As Chief of Staff at Synthesis Clinic, Diogo works alongside the Founder and Medical Director, Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel, to oversee clinical operations and uphold excellence in patient care. He also co-supervises the Synthesis Clinic Mobile Nursing Network, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to nurses delivering safe, compassionate care across the UK. Passionate about integrative oncology and whole-person medicine, Diogo brings a calm, thoughtful, and patient-centred presence to every aspect of his work.
