Integrative Pain Care at Synthesis Clinic

Our Approach to Integrative pain care for pain related to cancer and cancer treatment

Synthesis Clinic offers a unique personalised integrative pain service aimed at people with cancer or cancer treatment-related pain, including CIPN (chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy), generalised cancer pain and musculoskeletal joint or muscle pain related to cancer treatment, such as AIA (aromatase inhibitor-induced arthralgia). We are a multidisciplinary service led by specialist physicians - Dr Deepak Ravindran, Consultant Pain and MSK (musculoskeletal) Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine Physician, and Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel, Precision Health and Integrative Cancer Care Physician. Our integrative pain care service includes medical, nutrition, physiotherapy and health coaching input, with other modalities, such as acupuncture and herbal medicine included as needed.

The service helps chronic pain patients receive a more integrated holistic approach without excessive reliance on stronger medication or short-term fixes. We offer a comprehensive clinical assessment, from including clinical case evaluation, imaging and investigations as needed and then a clear personalised roadmap for tackling cancer or treatment-related pain and fatigue, improving symptoms and transforming quality of life.

The Synthesis Clinic Integrative Pain Care Team is here to empower you toward a life beyond pain.
