Elizabeth Yull has over twenty years of clinical physiotherapy experience across a range of healthcare settings, including NHS hospitals, private hospitals, and private community clinics. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong focus on exercise rehabilitation to support individuals in managing long-term health conditions and promoting healthy ageing, while developing a particular passion for oncology rehabilitation.

Her curiosity about the field of oncology and her commitment to professional growth have led her to pursue a wide range of postgraduate training opportunities, including Can Rehab and PINC Cancer Rehabilitation Certificates, RESTORE Oncology Scar Specialist training, Exercise & Stoma Rehabilitation, and Lymphoedema Management. She values building connections with other physiotherapists and healthcare providers and is a member of ACPOPC, Physios in Exercise Oncology, and POGP CSP professional networks.

Current evidence strongly supports the use of exercise prescription across the cancer continuum, and she is motivated by the rapidly developing research and knowledge in exercise oncology. She aims to integrate this with her experience and skills to support individuals according to their specific needs and stages of treatment. She takes particular satisfaction in interpreting the latest research and translating it into meaningful, real-world outcomes for her patients, helping them to live as fully as possible.

Elizabeth also recognises that many side effects from cancer treatments and surgery can be limiting or may create barriers to participation in exercise or even daily activities. She uses physiotherapeutic and scar therapy techniques to support individuals in managing symptoms including, but not limited to, deconditioning, altered breathing, pain, fatigue, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), cording, lymphoedema, and reduced mobility. Through this work, she helps to bridge the gap between acute care, exercise, and long-term wellness.

Elizabeth feels privileged to work in partnership with oncology patients and believes that collaborative, integrative support from medical and healthcare professionals enables each individual to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life.
